White River Valley Museum needs volunteers

April 4, 2008 · Leave a Comment

A recent article in The Auburn-Reporter indicated that the White River Valley Museum is in need of volunteers.  You can read the article here:  Museum needs a few good volunteers

Janet Wells, the Volunteer Coordinator for the museum, shared with Debi Taylor-Hough this week that the museum is currently in need of “docents” (basically people to run the gift shop and point visitors toward the exhibits) and also “tour guides” for the various educational and local school groups which regularly come through the museum’s doors.

If you’re interested in Auburn Valley and Puget Sound history and would like an opportunity to work with local children and their families, this could be a great outreach to the neighborhood for you.  You can even schedule a time to come in and “shadow” a current volunteer if you’d like a chance to see first-hand if this is something you’d want to do regularly or not.
